EBB or Electric Blowback Airsoft Guns use 4 AAA batteries
(or on a select few a rechargeable battery) to power the small
motor. These guns use the motor to move the slide back and
fourth as well. These guns typically do not fire over 125fps
and are recommended only for small backyard play.
MINI ELECTRICS are just as you would expect from
the name. These Airsoft guns are made on a 1/3rd "toy"
scale. They use 4 AA batteries to power them up to 125 fps
and are fully automatic. These are neat little guns for some
small backyard play. Becuase they are not real scale they
will seldomly be mistaken for real firearms.
AEG
Powered Electric Guns
use a plastic gear box and a seperate motor to create the
power needed. This configuration is the same as in the higher
end guns but uses cheaper plastic composite materials to make
up the box and internal gears. "Medium Powered"
does not accuratly descibe these items as some can reach higher
FPS ratings than some of the "High End" Airsoft
Electric Guns. These Guns typically shoot in the 280 fps range.
With a considerably lower price range they make great guns
for those just starting out in Airsoft.
A.E.G.'s or Airsoft Electric Guns use a metal gearbox
and gears along with a seperate motor to create the needed
power.
